Detailed rules and gameplay guidance for Pair Up.
Pair Up is a memory game for 2-4 players. Find the most pairs on the selected board: 8 pairs on 4x4, 12 pairs on 5x5, or 18 pairs on 6x6.
Choose a 4x4, 5x5, or 6x6 grid. The 4x4 board has 16 cards forming 8 pairs. The 5x5 board has an empty center space, leaving 24 cards that form 12 pairs. The 6x6 board has 36 cards forming 18 pairs. Cards are shuffled for every new game.
On your turn, flip one hidden card, then choose a second card. The first card remains face up while you choose its possible match.
If the two cards match, you score one pair. After the match is revealed, both cards are removed from the grid. You immediately get another turn, so keep going while you find matches.
If the cards do not match, both remain visible briefly so everyone can remember them. They then turn face down and the next player takes a turn.
The game ends early as soon as the player in the lead cannot be caught or tied, or when all pairs on the selected board have been found. The player with the highest pair score wins. If scores are tied when all pairs are found, the result is a draw between the tied leaders.
